True story. There is no understanding between players anymore. Some are actually waiting for others to break a rule in order to report them. Instead of talking to the guy who may have rule-broke and make him understand where the problem is, they just create an argument which usually ends in a report.

Exactly, people's initial reaction is to report a user, some are justified like cheating, constant deathmatching etc.. But there's a lot of pointless reports that could eaisly be dealt with if you explained it to the aggressor, it's then if they continue that it warrants a report.
Should start putting warnings for some BS report posters/hunters(won't name people here...).
I think you guys are forgetting we are probably 1 of a handful of servers whom actually take into account report hunting as a factor in reports. We frown on report hunting big time and do take action when we can.

I agree, but why only address players? Admins have to deal with reports as well, don't you think? There are many reports about a player making a very serious offence. Yet, no action is being taken. Let me show you some of the proof.

Report on a hacker - http://ls-rcr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36599. No action taken nor responded too.

Report on a hacker - http://ls-rcr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36596. No action taken nor responded too.

Report on a ban evader - http://ls-rcr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36579. No action taken nor responded too.

Report on a hacker/bug abuser - http://ls-rcr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36555. No action taken nor responded too.

Report on a tagged member of DMing - http://ls-rcr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36605. No action taken nor an admin responded.

Report on a hacker/fake tag - http://ls-rcr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36087. No action taken nor responded too.

Report on a hacker - http://ls-rcr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36024. No action taken nor responded too.

Report on a ban evader - http://ls-rcr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36034. No action taken nor responded too.

These were some, but I guess I'll stop. I know admins are very busy, etc etc. At least appreciate the players that report and take their time against people breaking rules. Admins are / should be just as blamed as the rest of the "reporters". A lot of the reports are valid though. Basically, my point is that look at what the admins do and the community. The community makes reports (sometimes not a big deal) and admins do take action, but skip some as well. Nothing against the admins whatsoever.
Yes you have found a very small number of topics we have failed to reply to we accept we are not always on point all the time. Ultimately we are currently expanding the admin team and are trying to increase activity on all levels of the staff and I think we can all agree that is happening.

Why aren't you banned? Oh yeah, forgot, Fatal is your buddy.
First you use a quote from Fatal to 11pm then you slag fatal of saying he doesn't take action against friends? You are just something else.

...After this I decided I didn't wish to fuel this argument on so I am stopping. The behavior of boss is just arrogant and rude.

@topic:

While I do agree some reports are largely biased and sometimes irrational, you must take into account everybody deals with their problems in their own way. Meaning, some intend to teach them a lesson, and others may teach them the rules, or some if not the rest just choose to ignore it and move on with their day. The players who file reports, in their own mind, truly believe the player(s) they reported have done something wrong. Otherwise they wouldn't go through the effort of creating it in the first place. At least this is what I think.

So to weed through reports and dub them as valid, invalid, or useless, is a bit dramatic. Because in the end, there are only two real types of reports, valid and invalid ones.

With all that said, I hope most will agree that report hunting, while it may be annoying to deal with, is a gray area. If it follows the report guidelines listed in the Report Section Information, there is no right or wrong. The person who made the topic honestly thought the other player earned themselves the report, which is why they put the effort into creating it in the first place.

You indeed got reports witch are valid and in valid. And indeed most of the time the reporter (op) does it out of a good will and because rules are rules. The reports i wanted to mention are report hunts or reporting someone with less as 100 score.

With report hunts i mean ppl who are stalking the whole day, being annyoing and waiting for a single slip. Making 20 ss to make it look like a big deal.

And reporting playeds with less then 100 score, well oke. They indeed mighf be breaking the rules. But whenever you explain to use /rules /pc. And go on, happend me more then i could count that someone after i told found out it was a whole other server then expected. And then can he figure out hitself if he wants to stay, or doest like the gameplay.

Why not helping the guy instead of reporting him? Yes, theres nothing wrong with reporting, but isn't it better to teach him how not to rulebreak? I mean, if the player is new, he will probably rulebreak since he has no knowledge of rules, if you teach him the rules, and explained to him why isn't he allowed to do something, he will probably stop breaking the rule and he will be happy to know he's playing on a server where he will get help whenever he needs some. If he doesn't stop rulebreaking, report him, no harm done. My point is, explain the rules to the rulebreaker instead of reporting him right away. You will feel much better knowing you helped someone. Just my opinion, no hate.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, “You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just not close enough to get the job done.”

I'm about to agree with this, Players use the report sections very frequently because some admins literally ignore in game reports or players questions .

There was NO need to bump a 4 year old topic.

In this specific situation/topic i do not mind a bump. Until today this still happens, not as much as then i'd admit that.
However, bumping this once as a heads up wouldn't harm anyone whatsoever.

Netherless, ima lock this topic. Whatever could still be said allready has been stated earlier, or is common sense.
