Regarding racism and antisemitism

Hey,

I just wanted to write this topic quickly because in the last couple of weeks I have noticed an increase of racism. I just want to make it clear that racism and antisemitism is strictly prohibited on this server, and players who are racist or antisemitic will be banned without warning.

It doesn't matter whether or not the player has provoked you, followed you for hours and bitched, hacked to provoke you or whatever. Racism or antisemitism is STRICTLY prohibited and it's not something we want to see in this community. You WILL get banned.

I hope this stays as a clear warning to everyone. If you have such thoughts, you better keep it to yourself, and you better learn more about humanity. We are all human, and there's only one race. We do NOT want to see this in this community, and if this happens repeatedly a permanent ban is in order. If you by chance are racist or an antisemite, you need to learn more about humanity (you are a victim of propaganda that has existed through decades), because you are clearly an ignorant person who needs to learn things. If you are not able to learn or put these thoughts aside, we do NOT want you in this community.

I agree that something needs to be done about problematic people but banning them without warning is a little too extreme especially because most of this will not be used for its intended purpose and even if it is no matter how annoying they need to be warned first, a continuation after being warned a certain amount of time is fine but if we are resorting to extreme sencership measures then it’ll only incite that we are only looking for excuses to ban people because that is exactly what this looks like, I get just as annoyed when people are actively using racial slurs only for the intended purpose of insulting but this is a little too extreme and it will possibly cause people who might not even be racist to leave the community as if the playerbase wasn’t low already, I’ve seen other game servers incorporate stuff like this and every time it has only caused more drama rather then the expected result, also because people are people and not robots they will do or say something that might seem racist if it is put in the wrong context so you’ll have people who are getting banned for a thing they might not have even done, I don’t generally get involved but this is way to extreme and looks as if we are just purging the community of people we don’t like and I cannot fully agree with stuff like that even if it was in my favor, I fell in love with this community because of its multinational player base and this will only cause a decrease in that. Because not every country and race will not agree with each other which means stuff like this will happen regardless of what is implemented, having a handle on this issue is fine but not to the point where you’re strangling the community of anything you don’t like.

People will usually be warned, but we reserve the right to ban players without warning. There are most definitely cases where we should be warning the player first. For instance, if it is unclear whether or not the intention of the player is to be racist, but there are also other cases where the racism is so extreme that a ban is in place instantly (speaking lesser of other skin colors, skin color supremacy etc).
