I have a friend who is very interested in medieval, its culture & religion and similar. And now, he suddenly started hating Christianity because he believes that paganism is the first real religion. The annoying part is that, whenever we pass by some church or anything related to our God & Jesus, he just spits at it. He also dreams about burning churches and destroying Christianity (sounds retarded, right). Anyway, I'd like to ask if here's anyone who knows more about it, has some reliable sources that could help me to learn more about it all?

Anyone who would love to talk about it?
Most people who follow the Norse religion today are neo-nazis and right wing extremists. Take a look:

https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/qbxp ... racist-456

I'm from a country where we are mostly known for our pagan history (Norway - Norse, vikings, whatever) and to be honest I find it ridiculous that anyone would worship paganism today. If he were to state such things in my country, it would instantly mark him as a right wing extremist as we've had church burning right wing extremists before. I am actually going to say, I am convinced, that he is inspired by this Norwegian neo-nazi:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varg_Vikernes

We also have this in Norway as well:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vigrid_(Norway)

I believe they use paganism as an excuse for right wing extremism / or as a cover, I really do not believe all of these people to be actually pagan. I know for a fact that they have been recruiting non-pagan members and it's more about their political agenda rather than a pagan one. There's also a lot of British right wing extremists who follow Odinism, so you can see that paganism and right wing extremism is closely related.

Now I'm not sure what's wrong with your friend (why would he be inspired by neo-nazis?), but unless he's an actual Neo-nazi maybe you should provide him with some of this information, or ask him to do some research himself.

Here are by the way a couple wikipedia articles on what we were taught in school, about Norse paganism coming to an end in Norway:

Yes, he's definitely a neo-nazi because he always hails Hitler and spreads hatred towards Jews. He also favors right wing non stop. However, I still don't know where he found sources about how old is Paganism which really bothers me because I just found that they appeared after Christianity (those who didn't favor it).
Btw, he sent me this lol:

I am going to assume he is probably not very smart and I would probably just ignore him. He really needs to change his politicial views, what formed him to be the scum he is today? Don't worry about his sources, that image he sent you is probably something he considers a source.

The picture is right about some of the days though, but who cares, just because people thought the world was flat 1000+ years ago doesn't mean we should today. It's more clear in Norwegian, as Thursday is written Tors-dag for instance.

I honestly don’t think you need to give any further explanation about him being a neo-nazi after the ‘always hails hitler’ part.
