And don't be afraid to believe in any other religion than Islam. God surely has a reason why other religions exist. In fact, there is no right religion. Every religion just has a different way to view the same reality, all that has really changed is your point of view. Things can stay the same but if you change your point of view they seem so different. Even if you're not religious you surely have some morals. You surely wanna be a better person, don't you? Well, religion is all about that anyway, being better and closer to God. And in the end it all comes to how much you can love others and be good by heart. Nothing else really matters.

Anyway, I believe this topic should be moved to the R&C forum. This could easily turn into a debate.

So, do you believe in GOD, Allah, or whoever?

I'm a Christian but Christianity in its true meaning died out long ago. Catholicism, Protestantism etc. are just reflections of what Christianity used to be. Explaining and connecting all religions is a very complex process and I could write about it for hours but I'll try to shorten it so you can understand it: Basically all religions believe in similar things but they just use different explanations and points of view. A very good example is Islam. The islamic god is called Allah. Christians believe in the same god as Muslims except we call him God. If you spend some time researching all those religions you'll actually see a pattern and you'll be able to blend it into a bigger picture.

But in the end it doesn't even matter. A person who hasn't contacted modern civilisation, hasn't heard of Christ, and lived in a tribe for his whole life can be a better Christian than the Pope. How? All he did was following his morals and he tried to live like a good person. If you try to be a better person you already believe in God. God isn't an old guy in the sky, he is your desire to be good. Think of good as a voice inside of you always leading you to the right path and trying to make you become a better person. If you start to think of God as such you'll be able to understand religion much better.

You don't believe/trust anything without any proofs... Thats what you have to do. Thats at least what i do, thats why i got reported for... Because there are people believing in something that has no "concrete evidences"(as you said) that it had ever existed.

The facts are true. The truth hurts the people (religious for this matter).

There're are no facts which says that there's no God.
By the way, it's way better to believe that after this life there is something good then after this life is nothing. About me, I am sure that there's something after life, I am not sure about you.

Hey Armin I think it is important to have some doubts in a religion it just shows that your a normal human. If you belive in exactly everything you will end up as an "extremist" and that wont be good. I doubt at christianity sometimes. But at the end of the day it´s nice to have something to belive in no mather if you are jewish, muslim or christian. Take care buddy

I find it petty to even bring up the word "proof" in such topics. Science can explain how some things works but it fails miserably at explaining connections between huge areas of life. For example, Einstein's theory of relativity works fine but when you start observing the universe at an atomic level it fails - quantum physics is applied there. The problem is these 2 theories can't be both true but apparently they somehow are. And what about the Placebo effect? A person is under terrible pain and you give him morfium each day to ease the pain. After a week you give him regular water instead of morfium but he still believes he's taking morfium. A scientist would say he would start feeling pain again but that doesn't happen. He doesn't feel pain! He believed he was given morfium and his body acted like that even though there was only regular water. This should be impossible but it really happens. Heck, there is even a theory that the whole universe in a huge hologram.

What I'm trying to say is that neither science nor religion have any proof. Science can prove small things but in fact it doesn't have idea how some key elements of the universe work. When it comes to huge existential questions you can't rely on scientific proof because there isn't any. You have to believe, that's all you're left with.
