Nearly 40 000 people are playing the -same- Pokemon game

In a nutshell:
A bot is reading all the chat messages and filtering classic Gameboy commands (e.g. up, a, start etc.) to the Pokemon Red -game. Anyone is allowed to type any command at any time. Due to Twitch delay the command comes up on screen a good 20 seconds later, which makes coordination harder. Currently there are 37+k people watching the stream and playing it.

This has been going for a few days and it's really hilarious to watch how poor Red tries to navigate in the world while there is huge tug of war in the chat. It took the stream a good 12 hours to cross Route 9 and they are currently trying to go through the Rock Tunnel.
