About
Uber is a new unofficial roleplaying group where new taxi drivers can join us and provide service across the cities of San Andreas. Our job is to pick passengers up and take them to their destinations. Easy, right? Well, we may show up sooner than a regular taxi, but we are also more expensive than a regular taxi. Also, unlike regular taxi services, we come in any variety of vehicle. Also, unlike other groups, we use ratings instead of ranks. The lower the rating, the less chance you might get at reliable service.
Rules
-You are not allowed to break the server rules.
-You are not allowed to ask for a higher rating. Doing so will result in a lower rating unless you are at the lowest rating, at which point you will be kicked from Uber.
-You are not allowed to insult or incite racism on any Uber members.
-No flame wars or drama.
-You are not allowed to just hang around in Uber skin for more than 15 minutes, you must use it for serious roleplay. After the second offense, you will get a lower rating or a kick if you're at the lowest rating.
-You are not allowed to make Uber-hosted events if none of the CEOs are on the server.
-You are not allowed to be AFK in Uber skin for more than 15 minutes. If you are discovered breaking this rule, you will get a lower rating or a kick if you're at the lowest rating.
-Anyone found giving rides to passengers for free or for the standard taxi rate ($1 per in-game minute) will be warned.
-The CEOs will announce when Surge Pricing is in place. During Surge Pricing offers, passengers using Uber must pay the minimum price set by Surge Pricing.
-Drivers may rate passengers at the end of a trip taken on Uber and vice-versa. Passengers with the lowest rating will not be allowed to use Uber if they are rated any lower, drivers with the lowest rating will be kicked if they are rated any lower.
-You are not allowed to /rob, /rape, deathmatch or do harm to anyone else in Uber skin.
-You are not allowed to annoy other Uber members, even when you are not in skin. That includes intentionally crashing into an Uber vehicle or continually preventing Uber vehicles from reaching their destination.
How do I join?
If you want to join Uber, send a private message to [Lsrcr]Matt (in-game) or MattDet (forums). Please include the words "I'm ready for a new generation of taxi service." After that, you are allowed to drive any car with at least one passenger seat (EXCEPT those owned by other groups, SWAT, Army and/or Pagati) with Uber.
Passengers requesting Uber must include their intended destination, otherwise they will be ignored. Once they enter an Uber vehicle. the passenger and/or the driver must count every in-game minute that passes while the passenger is in the vehicle. At the end of the trip, they must divide the minutes that passed by half rounded to the nearest whole number (starting at $2) and the passenger must pay that amount to the driver. For example, if the trip took 20 minutes, the passenger must do /gc (ID of driver) 10 at the end of the trip.
At the end of your shift, you must post a reply to this thread showing the EXACT in-game names of each passenger you picked up, the length each passenger rode in your vehicle and the money you received at the end of each respective trip. You have three days to do so, if not, you will be permanently banned from Uber.
Once you have done the above, you will have to send the money you earned (the exact amount you earned during your shift, NOT all of your money) to me. I have just created a new account, "OfficialUber", and all earned money will be transferred to that account to provide money for things like paychecks and in the future our own house.
Passengers are not allowed to pay $1 or nothing to any Uber drivers at the end of their trip. If they are caught doing this three consecutive times, the passenger and the driver will be permanently banned from Uber.
