Your name: [Lsrcr]Vandeta
Suggestion headline: timer for wanted players entering the black market
Picture: Keep the picture in this
Spoiler: show
Importance of suggestion: 8/10
Why should it be accepted: there is so many wanted players who enter the black market and stay inside to escape from LEO's so there should be a timer Estimated * 2 or 3 minutes and then the wanted player will be kicked from the black market and can't enter it again for 25 seconds the 3 minutes given to the wanted player is more than enough for him to get shock guns or buy anything they need from the black market this only will apply for wanted players *orange, red, dark red* this will not apply to *white* or *yellow* players...
Tell me what you think guys...

Blackmarket can be used only by civilians who got more than 1500 scores
If a LEO is nearby they can't enter
They can stay there as much as they want

HELL NO!
Cops are way too OP!

I witnessed cops/swats camp out of black market so they can arrest the wanted players. as they are sure we'll be wanted.

And, It's pointless. We can stay anywhere we like at anytime. Why server will force wanted players to get arrested by Leos camping outside.

There are already many restrictions regarding black market.

Huge negative from me!

Leo's can't arrest wanted players coming out of the black market as they are protected against law enforcement commands for 25 seconds and that is more than enough to get away.

I will go with a positive.

The reason of why I want this to get implemented is because people are excessively camping in the Black Market. When cops are chasing them, they just enter it and stay there for ever (until the cops get bored and leave) or they just go in and come out fast so they can have the 25 seconds protection. If players are getting kicked from the Black Market because of staying inside for more than 3 minutes they shouldn't have this protection because they most likely tried to escape from cops by entering it. I know players can't enter it if cops are nearby but the range is too short honestly. Yes, truth is sometimes cops are camping outside and not the criminals inside. For example; a play enters the Black Market to buy shock guns etc and a cop who's in Jefferson starts following him/her. The cop knows the player will get wanted right after entering it so he/she camps outside. But that's why the protection was added anyway so that's not a big problem. I think 3-5 seconds are enough to buy what you want/need. The Market is not a place for criminals to chill.

Maybe a player who's inside gets kicked only if a cop is outside. I don't know if it is possible to get scripted but the server might somehow detect that.

Some addittional suggestions:

1. Increase the range. The range is too short right now. You should be really close to the player. If a cop is visible on the minimap, the criminal/innocent won't be able to enter it.

2. If cop is visible on the minimap and the criminal enters the Market, the cop who's near him/her receives a police message e.g: ''Unknown player enter the Black Market''. The Market will also be accessible to the cop z officer will be able to enter it and kill/arrest the suspect. That makes it more challenging and that everything should be done when no one is 'watching'. Of course only the cop who was visible on the minimap when criminal entered the Market will get the notification / will be able to enter it.

***Those 2 suggestions were made so they can prevent players from entering it while being chased. I am supporting Vandeta's suggestion because players are sometimes camping inside and it's very annoying..***

Maybe you could ask an admin to tp him out of there since that's a rule break? :?

Anyways the way I see it is a problem and yeah that's bad but what about someone who is indecisive and stays In there looking to gather certain items but is planning before he buys?

  • Not that often for myself, but I've seen it happen and I agree, it is using the Black Market in a way that it was not intended to be use with an intent to abuse or gain an undeserved advantage over someone who was chasing them (same argument present when people used to do this in the Fightclub by East Los Santos)

  • I agree with kicking the players out of the BM once a certain time is up. I am unsure about removing the protection, although it seems to make sense if it would only be removed if a criminal would be inside of the BM for 3+ minutes or so. There's ways to deal with the protection though, as in stall for a bit and then /taze or /cuff, or even /engine the criminal's vehicle to gain a few seconds, but nevertheless it is somewhat difficult to pull off and what you propose seems to be fine, at least to me.

  • This could be easily scripted: a unix timestamp will check for the amount of time since a player entered the BM. If the timestamp reaches to the value that is deemed as "abuse" (in this case so far 3 minutes), then the player's position would be set to the outside of the BM, and the VW and Interior set to 0 as well.

  • This seems unnecessary I must say, as long as the "kick" fix is implemented this wouldn't be necessary, at least in my opinion.

Yes it's definetely possible to deal with the protection but it's not that easy if you are not skilled enough (mostly talking about new players who might also get confused). Whoever leaves the Market cannot get tazed/cuffed but they can get damaged and damage you back. If your intentions are to arrest the guy, you have no other choice than fighting them or just finding a good cover to hide until the protection is over. Sometimes you have more than 2 criminals leaving the Market and they can easily kill you if you are alone. I think that protection should not apply to the kicked player simply because they - most likely - intentionally stayed inside for more than 3 minutes to evade cops. The protection was implemented because cops sometimes camp outside aswell.

I accidentally included civilians aswell, didn't mean to. Only criminals won't be able to.

I wouldn't say so. Regarding the kick, you get kicked for camping inside after legitimately entering it, but in this case you are not able to go in because of trying to enter a shop (if you wanna call it like that) that cops cannot enter (while being chased) in order to escape from them. Someone might enter the Market whilst wanted when there's no one chasing him/her which is perfectly fine. And the opposite, someone might stay inside for more than 3 minutes if there's no cop outside which is again fine.

I don't think there's any valid reason to stay inside for more than 3 minutes whatsoever. Allowing cops to enter doesn't make sense in an RP manner either, since the BM is supposed to be out of reach of the cops. Being kicked after 3 min seems to be a good fix for all of it.

We seem to agree on everything besides that point.
