More like islam forbids wanking? lets leave that it has a physical effect for doing it repeatedly per day, it's mostly because it's a mental addiction, has more harm on your mentality more than your body, i guess. Also i think marijuana has some physical effects beside the mental once? don't really know just stated my opinion about it.
