Your suggestion: Bomb tracker.
Shortly, the bomb for some reason annoys all criminals, and it's damage to the members has been added again on using it, so let's keep it that way but let the bomb have a special marker for members to be able to use it after placing it from a fair distance by knowing it's exact position on the minimap with a special marker.

Reason: I have good reasons for this to be implemented, first, it's roleplayish, when you bomb someone you shouldn't bomb yourself, secondly, if someone accidently places the bomb, he can get it back quickly, thirdly, it's a good way to know the exact position of placement to be able to get whoever approaches it since it's marker is visible on the screen.

I like your idea, however, by time you can improve yourself while using the bomb, I myself use the bomb most of time while I have pretty much far distance from it.
