Anyone basing their vote on cophunting should re-consider which server they are playing on.

I agree with faraon, if you are going to remove it then mechanic job will be useless, you will beg everyone to request mechanic for a fix. ( Same as cophunting the driver will be forced to request mechanic for a fix. ) better to keep it.
That is a possible alternative but I still think adding the forced /request would still be slightly better when taking into consideration chases or cophunting. Wanteds will have a slightly better chance to escape from cops and cops will have a slightly greater chance of taking down cophunters as drivers will have to /request a mechanic instead of being automatically fixed at any given point. I genuinely don't see why people are not forced to buy weapons, drugs or items yet are forced to have their vehicle fixed.
Because it WILL highly nerf the criminal side. One can't keep up with 3 commands at a time, i.e /sh id preparation /takedrugs and then /request mechanic. This suggestion for criminal is as same as removing the SWAT bomb or deadly vehicles from Army.

Alternative: Maybe implement this suggestion but driver should be able to toggle this system.
Another alternative: Implement Faraon's Idea.
Infinity alternative: Remove the cool down between requesting for mechanic.

It has been kept this way for years and nobody complaint until this suggestion, I believe this is not a issue for Ls-rcr community, let's keep it as it is or perhaps implement one of the alternatives.

Negative.

It won't nerf the cops class at ALL because they barely have the mechanic with them. However, SWAT team is mostly seen with a mechanic but this system won't affect them either because they can keep only one mechanic at a time due to limited drag seats and thus, they've only one fix and the cool down starts after /requesting. TLDR; It will only nerf the criminal class.

No, you'd use it before your vehicle catches fire.

I just can't agree with this statement at all. It won't affect the cop's class? As if. This will affect all classes.

Let me step into this "cophunting" mindset real quick. What you're saying is police rarely have mechanics with them, which is, yes, quite correct, however, when it comes to cophunters, a lot of the times, there are about 3 mechanics (if they all arent a mechanic anyway). I've only realized now, just how this current form of /fix is extremely broken and overpowered.

*a team of LEO's are chasing a group of mechanic cop hunters without a mechanic on their side* - do you wanna know what happens? LEO's manage to get the cophunters car on fire once, then the mechanics all fix it. In return, the cophunters fire an abnormal amount of shots back at the LEO's causing them to catch fire and explode - meanwhile, all mechanics on the cophunters side have /fix id copied and ready to be pasted as soon as there's fire.

Can you tell me how this change would be unfair to criminals? Because as I see it, it'll be more balanced for all classes.

Let's not forget that Ls-rcr is a cops and robbers server, and cophunting shouldn't even be considered a normal thing. Robbers would attempt to get away from the police, not go up to them and blast them to death.

Edit: "This is the same as removing army deadly vehs etc" it is absolutely NOT! Because this affects absolutely ALL classes and not just one side.

I agree with what Abstract said, I'm positive.

It makes no sense for a mechanic to fix someone's car for no apparent reason. You /fix when someone has requested a mechanic (perhaps 20-30 seconds cooldown upon /request so it's fair and not extreme). This applies for everyone, would be perfectly balanced.

Or perhaps we can find something mutual that both, people who are against and those who support the suggestion would agree with.

If a mechanic fixes your car but you haven't requested, he will not recieve any score or money and the opposite if you have requested.

Also, we can have it that your car's HP doesn't fully recuperate, if somebody fixes your car and you haven't requested while if you have requested - full HP , plus mechanics being able to fix your car at any HP.

The same can be said for cops. Cops will also have to rely on typing up 3 or more commands quickly - /taze, /inject and then /request mechanic if implemented (using the same examples you provided). So I genuinely do not see any sense in your argument besides you simply not wanting for things to be more balanced in this game.

This WILL benefit both cops and criminals equally and as Immo said bring about a perfect amount of balance.
