My lsrcr journey started around late 2012-2013 I believe, I'd gotten bored of another famous CnR server and a famous DM server I played in and was looking for somewhere else to have some fun. Joined under random ass names until I got somewhat familiar with the server after playing for some time, and joined under the Fear_m3 account. I think the first faction I applied for in that was swat, but failed by rules (?) so I decided to apply for army instead. I printed the rules like a true OG and I passed the rules part, then everything else went fine as well. Shoutout to Cyborg for being the dude that tested me for that.
I played under army for quite some time, racking up kills and shit (this was back in the day when I was obsessed with dueling and whatnot) and it was generally fun. It had gotten a bit annoying tho that some people were getting salty about "stealing kills" and whatever, as well as accusing me of aimbot (back then it was a bit more rare to be accused of aimbot than it is today, partly because I think that the playerbase was somewhat familiar with samp and understood some stuff a bit more than current playerbase). I think I quit army because of Monster, yes that monster, kept accusing me of aimbot and stealing kills and shit so I was pissed and left. Shoutouts to Ryder for trying to get me to stay in army anyways, wonder what's up with his life now.
After that, I started hanging out with some swat dudes (aleksa and others, I think lumix and armaros were people I teamed with often in police skin while they were swat). Eventually applied for swat again and this time I got in and was accepted. Back then it was wayyyy easier to be a cop or law enforcement that it is today, it wasn't good but the balance was definitely off in favor of law enforcement in comparison with today where the balance is off in favor of criminals. Either way, I was having fun or whatnot playing as swat as well.
One day, and I think this was before the Vainsmoker autism, it had gotten really popular for some players to try to use TP cheats to tp from and to Claude, to rob the bank pretty much instantly. I'd gotten pissed of that and of them not being punished, so I was autistic as usual and decided to install an airbreak myself and give them some of that too. Absynth joined and I got banned by him. Tried to lie but to no avail since I had cheated in the end.
I had stopped playing but then I wanted to come back so I ban evaded as a couple of smaller accounts (uncaught!) and then joined with [2F2F]Dodger. I'd been playing on the racing server and I liked the name, I hadn't really talked to Dodger at all but I was cool with [RTF]Meso and [2F2F]S (shoutout to both of you as well if you ever happen to read this). I kept playing and eventually, the global unban happened. I rejoined with the Fear_m3 account, at that time [Lsrcr]Fear and I had to take my tag off etc after the unban. A couple of days after that, staff found out that I had evaded the ban despite the global unban (I won't share how since that's probably how they can catch a lot of other players today as well) and it was back to square one. I think it was Whiskey who'd banned me and I think I raged at carl over steam lol. I think he still has a hard on for banning me lmao. In either case, I was banned once again. Eventually due to being friends with some of the staff and "high rank" players, as well as the fact that I donated (this wasn't explicitly stated but I'm pretty certain it was evaluated upon) I was unbanned and then continued playing as dodger as most of you know me today.
I've grown tired of what the server has become to be honest, I haven't been in its target demographic for some time now and I can feel it. I'd say that from blackmarket up to this point was the downfall (at least personally) of the server. Either way, I would get super pissed at the features that were blindly added that led to Lsrcr's identity slowly fading away. Now it feels, at least for me, that Lsrcr has completely lost it. It is no longer a cops and robbers server, but it is not a dueling server either. It's sort of an in-between, sharing some of the benefits but mostly the drawbacks of both. I cannot just say its easy to fix these things since they'd take a long time and effort to do so, and even then its just mistakes that I am perceiving and not necessarily the rest of the playerbase. Either way, after the time playing it just feels that I should step aside and let Lsrcr run its natural course and continue to evolve into what the current players want it to be.
Also, as a sort of final note I'd like to apologize to "café players", Pakistanis in particular, since I'd often take out my anger on the server with you where you were not the ones to blame - you were fed handicaps and you simply used them, and I can't be too mad with the people up top either since I understand how hard it is to "fix" things at this point now that the playerbase is sort of established/defined. I don't really have a problem with you, I just had a problem with how the server was decaying from what I conceived as a good server into a poor one.
I may stop by the forums eventually, but if for some reason you want to contact me or play games and shit, add me on steam. This is my steam url to my profile: https://steamcommunity.com/id/soonthekilt. I may be getting into Dota 2 and similar strategy games soon, so if you're up to that then I wouldn't have a problem playing with you.
Thanks for reading a last long essay,
Rally.
