Your name: Cover
Suggestion headline:
  • Change the way arresting work, update the arrest command from a simple two letter command (/ar) to (/arrest), allowing players a chance to break from the handcuffs.
  • Instead of the arrested players being teleported immediately to prison, make it so that when the LEO uses the /arrest command, the wanted player remains standing still in handcuffs for 20 seconds. This would make it feel more realistic where the player is waiting for a transportation unit to arrive and take them to jail, rather than being instantly teleported there, and to give players a chance to break from the handcuffs or their friends to assist them.
  • Once a player breaks the handcuffs, there is a 5 second cooldown before they can be placed in handcuffs again. However, they can still be tazed without any issues.
  • A balancing system that applies only to Police and not to SWAT or Army. This system limits the number of players in the Police skin to 30% of the total server players. For example, if there are 30 players online, only 10 players can choose Police skin, and the rest cannot unless more players join the server.
Importance of suggestion: 8/10
Why should it be accepted: I feel like my suggestions are really necessary because every time I connect to the server, 80% of the players are LEOs, while the rest are innocents struggling to commit crimes due to the overwhelming number of LEOs. I also tried cophunting over the past three days, and it is nearly impossible. These suggestions will hopefully give players a fair chance to commit crimes, and break free from handcuffs or have their friends help them using the /pcs command. They should also help balance the system for everyone.

I think the cuff changes could use some touching up, seems a bit one sided to an extreme, but I do agree with limiting the number of LEOs online. Even with a full assault team, Pagati has been struggling to maintain the balance. A failure of my own in that I've struggled to get in-game lately due to being ill in real life, but even when I can get on and get a team together, the fighting is above what we can handle for prolonged periods. We can't keep ourselves up long enough to hold the attention of LEOs so others can get work done purely because of the vast number of officers. Making matters worse, SWAT has been rolling crews of 4+ lately and with so few wanted, they are willing to drive all the way to Las Venturas to capture orange users out of boredom. It's been a problem, but I've yet to come up with a viable solution yet.

1. +1 for changing /ar command to /arrest command as cops can easily arrest criminals as they've /cuff copied which makes it easier for the cops to arrest.
2. I dont think this will be good change as criminals have many advantages over cops. They can get cuff kits and 90% of the time the criminals escape from the cuffs and run and the players with vip got auto /bc which is a huge advantage itself.
3.Again No as criminals have taze reflector, shocks and cop bat as well so they can stun a leo for 7 secs and kill the cop easily.
4. There should be some balancing system for cops as i've been also noticing that there are many cops in the server lately and i've to change from swat skin to civilian skin in order to do cophunt as there is no fun playing in swat skin when there are no criminals.

Overall i think criminals have more advantage then cops in general. So i think changing the current system would give more advantages to the criminals.

For a better understanding, look at these screenshots

This many LEOs online at once makes it impossible to get wanted because the second you do, you have four or more on you in seconds. Three SWAT members spent quite a bit of time just chilling in skin and the very second I got wanted, they were on me. This leads to no one wanting to do any crime because they just get busted instantly, and no one wants to be LEO because there is no wanted, so people leave the game because they are bored. This behavior is actively harming Ls-rcr and it needs to fixed because clearly the players doing this are too selfish to understand the issue.

My suggestion doesn't give criminals any additional advantages.

The suggestion I made is a minor change and shouldn't be seen as something that tips the scales. Instead of players being teleported instantly to prison, they would remain stuck in their place for 20 seconds. This would give their friends a chance to pick the cuffs and break them. During this time, the cuffed player would not be able to use any commands, such as /bc or /shocks. They would also have the option to either give up and get teleported to prison or stay for the full 20 seconds.

LEOs can still spam taze the suspect until the 5 seconds cooldown is over. All the advantages you mentioned are only significant in 1 v 1 situations, if it's two LEOs against that suspect with all these items, I highly doubt he'll make it out, Now imagine a vehicle full of five or more LEOs, and not to mention if it's SWAT, once you exit the vehicle, you'll get instantly cuffed from a mile away considering their huge cuff range.

In that situation, what's the use of the /bc command? If I clearly know that if I attempt to break the handcuffs, I know I'll end up being instantly cuffed again the moment I succeed in breaking the handcuffs.

Stop looking at these suggestions only from the LEO perspective, and try considering both sides whether my suggestions are truly op or not, because I personally believe they are minor changes and not a big deal.

I strongly disagree with this suggestion because it would create an unfair advantage for criminals. They already have access to tools like black market items to escape, and adding a 20 seconds delay to arrests would make it nearly impossible for LEOs to do their jobs effectively.

As a SWAT member, we know how critical timing is during high-risk operations. A 20 second delay would give criminals too much time to escape or retaliate, putting SWAT and Army units at a serious disadvantage. Additionally, the 5 seconds cooldown after breaking handcuffs is a huge problem. This gives criminals a clear window to escape, and while they can be tazed, it’s not always enough to stop them, especially in group situations.

This system would disrupt the balance of the server, making it far too easy for criminals to avoid justice. I believe this suggestion should not be implemented. The current system is fair and ensures both sides can play their roles effectively. Changing it would harm the gameplay experience for LEOs and the server as a whole. -1

Maybe if cops played fair and stopped unbalancing the server with 4 swat to 0 criminals, we wouldnt need to make changes. The whole point of helping us escape is because none of us like being fucked up the arse by 6+ cops at once when solo.

I understand your frustration, but the server’s design naturally alternates between periods of high LEO activity and high criminal activity. This balance ensures fairness, as both sides get their moments to dominate and succeed.

When the activity of the criminals is low against many LEOs, it can feel overwhelming, but that’s part of the game’s dynamic nature. The current system is fair because it allows both LEOs and criminals to play their roles succesfully at different times. Removing mechanics like the dispatch message for breaking handcuffs would disrupt this balance, giving criminals too much of an advantage as they will pass the limit of the crime. and making it harder for LEOs to maintain order.

The current system works because it keeps the gameplay engaging and balanced for everyone. This balance should be preserved to ensure the server remains enjoyable for all players. -1
