Suggestion headline: Adding a stricter rule for /q abusing
Picture: Keep the picture in this
Spoiler: show
Importance of suggestion: 10/10
Why should it be accepted: This suggestion is mandatory and I am sure almost every LEO will agree with me. More than half of the server playing at the time /q evades when you either go to them, or when you taze/cuff em. Being a swat member is even harder since you have to drag a suspect and take him to the PD. 8/10 dragged suspects /q evade. A more stricter rule than 360 seconds of jail should be added for /q evading/abusing. The punishment should be the same as hit evading = warning/tag removal/ban. This is highly important and will stop people from /q evading. Also it is extremely annoying to see suspects quit the game as you approach or engage them. I will leave a poll too so that we can have a fair idea of what the others think.

Agreed, it is ridiculous at this point how people are getting away with it, while it does affect the gameplay of police officers quite substantially. People literally rob stores, banks, escape jail and simply press /q do avoid any consequences. That alone sounds a lot like abuse anyway.

We recently updated this rule and now criminals are not allowed to leave the server while being chased and then come back within 30 mins (in the past this rule only applied to cuffed/tazed criminals). If someone gets reported for that and the proofs are solid, we can easily issue official warnings and possibly bans, if it happens continuously.

However it's really hard to prove someone broke a rule like this (same with invalid hits etc). You need to record 24/7. As someone who always plays as a cop, I have experienced it myself a thousand times. I understand it can be very frustrating and annoying,

What we can possibly do is to implement a system like this: Players get auto-warned if they leave the server whilst cuffed/tazed and then come back within 30 minutes. First 2 times it can be just an auto-jail, then auto-jail plus a warning. Basically how anti-dm system works. But the thing is, sometimes players lag, their games crash etc, so issuing a warning to their account might not always be a good idea (supposing warnings are also issued by the server and not by an admin to judge the whole situation).

This is huge problem. You can't differentiate between players who legit timed out and those who faked their time out. At least implement this for the /q part. We can think of a solution for the timeout too. Anyone with any suggestions?
EDIT: Another flaw I see in this system is what if the suspect wasn't tazed/cuffed and was getting chased when he quits. How will the server know if he q evaded or not. Therefore, how will he get auto jailed/warned?

The problem you mentioned above (how will the server know he was getting chased), would be solved if we implement a suggestion which was suggested my mason, which was to check if any LEO is around a criminal in a particular radius. It got accepted like idk how many years ago. But then in that too people had problem like;
What if a cop is afk and a criminal is around him and /Q's so he will be auto jailed. Well the criminal can go away from that cop and use /q but people never got that... Defending themselves by putting invalid excuses just because they can /q abuse. Its something you can never stop

I was just going to forums to make a suggestion regarding wanted players who decide to be literal, sorry for stating it this way, but I have to say "garbage" because there's players who haven't got any appreciation or respect for anyone so it's so much better and funnier for them to quit in front of someone who spends ten minutes chasing them all around the map. Today, so far two hours in three players have decided to quit in front of me when I approached them. Two were not handcuffed which means when they relogged, they were not even put to jail but were in position to normally respawn and continue playing. I of course messaged them not to violate server rules or else i'll have to report them, but let's be serious now, this is not helpful in any way until player gets taught a lesson differently on a more proper way. No one who's deciding to quit the game will never stop quitting when told unless such players are dealt with on a more severe way.

I honestly don't understand why is the limit thirty minutes for players to not get jailed when re-joining? Whoever quits the game when LEO player is around, should be put to jail no matter whether player who quit has been HANDCUFFED OR NOT and no matter if he waits five minutes or nine months to login back.

It's getting really annoying when this is happening and believe me it's happening quite often. I don't think players are too much interested in gathering proof themselves of someone quitting and then going to forums every time to report them just because it's time consuming and there's barely any taken actions against such players.
